Self-catering
We are a self-catering house.
You can cater for yourself in our well-equipped kitchen. Tea towels, washing-up and cleaning utensils are provided. As an outdoor play area, our large meadow serves, equipped with a fire pit. On request, you can get firewood from us for an additional fee. In the adjacent forest you are welcome to stay and play, but you should not collect firewood there.
Upon your arrival, we hand over the house to the group leader or responsible person and explain everything important. This person thereby assumes the independent duty of supervision as well as responsibility for the careful treatment of objects, rooms and the outdoor area.
For your self-catering, we recommend you prefer regional products and consider local shops. You will find everything you need for a pleasant stay at NaturFreundeHaus Hirzwald.

Environment & Energy
Water and Energy
The largest part of the house is heated with wood. Hot water is produced by solar collectors. Our electricity is "nuclear-free" from a regional supplier and the water comes from our own spring near the house; the water quality is regularly checked.
